Autumn evening in St Marychurch precinct for the Halloween guide

The Witching Month: St Marychurch’s Halloween Guide 2026

Halloween is on its way to St Marychurch, with a week of trails, pottery painting, family fun and a proper late-night party to finish the month.

Here is the confirmed guide so far — with something for little monsters, families and anyone after a night out.

The St Marychurch Halloween Trail

Monday 26 October to Saturday 31 October

The St Marychurch Halloween Trail runs across the final week of October. Pick up a trail pack from Falcone’s, Animals in Distress or Torbay Scrapstore, then follow the clues around the precinct.

Trail packs are £1, cash only, with money raised for St Marychurch Christmas lights and community events.

On Saturday 31 October at 4pm, the fancy-dress competition takes place at Molloy’s, with prizes in the 0–6, 7–11 and 12+ age groups. Whether you come as a witch, a wizard, a ghost or something completely original, this is the moment to make an entrance.

Frightlights at Model Village

Monday 26 October to Saturday 31 October

Model Village brings back its Halloween light-up experience, Frightlights: A Halloween Adventure. The miniature world takes on a spooky new feel after dark, with Halloween scenes, a trail and plenty to spot as the lights come on.

Model Village is open from 10am, with the Halloween lighting running in the evening. Last entry is 7pm and the attraction closes at 8.30pm. Tickets are available on arrival — check with Model Village before travelling for the latest details.

Halloween Pottery Parties at Poppins

Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October, 1.30pm–3pm

Poppins Pottery is holding two Halloween pottery parties for children at its Fore Street studio.

Children can paint a spooky pottery piece, enjoy a drink and snack, take part in Halloween games and decorate a bag for their finished creation. Acrylic paints mean the pottery can go home on the day, and fancy dress is optional.

Places are limited and must be booked directly with the studio. The sessions are £10 per child, with supervising adults £3 including a hot drink.

The Dolphin Inn Halloween Kids Party

Saturday 31 October, 12.30pm–3pm

The Dolphin’s annual Halloween Kids Party returns for an afternoon of fancy dress, a children’s disco and lucky-dip fun.

There will be prizes for the best costumes, with tickets available behind the bar at £1. Food and children’s meal deals will also be available. This is a separate event from the Halloween Trail, giving families another option for Halloween Saturday.

Madchester Halloween Do at The Dolphin

Saturday 31 October, 8pm–11pm

Once the little monsters have gone home, The Dolphin switches the mood completely for its Madchester Halloween Do.

Expect a night inspired by the sound and spirit of Manchester — from Hacienda classics to Britpop swagger. Entry is free, so get your costume sorted and head down for a proper Halloween night out in St Marychurch.

Plan your week

The best thing about this year’s Halloween line-up is that it gives people different ways to join in: a family trail around the precinct, creative sessions at Poppins, an evening at Model Village, children’s activities and a free night out at The Dolphin.

As ever, check directly with each organiser before setting off, especially where booking is required. We will add any further confirmed St Marychurch Halloween plans as they are announced.

Happy haunting, St Marychurch.
